Should I stop being friends with this person?

I have been best friends with her for almost 8 years and are now both 22 years old. My dad is Afghan and is a modern Muslim and my mom is Russian. Except for my dad the rest of us are Agnostic/Atheist. For the first 14 years I lived in Russia and was put through a lot of painful racism and degradation for my back round and skin colour. My "bf"s family was always very mean to me, never said hi when I came over and always ignored me. Every time my "bf" came to my house she was welcomed like a family member and always treated with respect. For the past year she has been saying things like "my whole family hates Muslims". She bashes them and how her mother hates them. It's very painful for me to hear because once I couldn't take it anymore and told her to shut up. I now understand why her family never talked to me and why they don't want her coming over to my house. She is Fiji herself, they are all uneducated, while one of my parents is a Doctor and the other is a Professor. I feel so hurt, I don't want to be friends with her. Is it worth breaking my 8 year old friendship with her?
