What emotion does feminism stem from?

I went to a cafe with my friends and sat next to some girl around my age. We chatted with them flirted, etc. We talked for an hour maybe and it seemed like they had a good time. Another patron of the cafe decided to express her opinions of my friends and i asking how we think we have the right to interrupt other peoples conversations. I was a little confused as to her intentions but it clicked that she may be a little feminist, and of course she said she was. She was accusing us of being rude and bothering people in a public cafe, especially girls. I can understand how it may be rude, yet, isnt the point of being out to maybe interact with other people? long story short she said we are rude, obnoxious, and assholes for bothering those girls. All i can think about this though is why she decided to let us know how she feels? Does it stem from jealousy, or regret, anger? anyone have any experience with this field of psychology?
