The key here is you would have to prove the things you are attempting to charge him with, and without police reports of past abuse it will be very difficult. Your only course of action is to actually call the police if he threatens you in any way and create a pattern of abuse. Once any marks have healed it becomes a case of "he said, she said" with no evidence. You may have a case of harassment IF you still have records of his text messages and phone calls, but only if the texts stated something to prove that or the contact was excessive.
