My first pc build compatability questions?

For gaming you are doing pretty poorly. Like a poster had said earlier you need at least a ati 5770 or a nvidia 250 to game. My personally recommendation is the nvidia 560gtx or the ati 6870. Both will run you in the $200 range. Both require at least a 400 watt psu (with a 125 watt processor) but you should stick with the 750watt for some breathing room. I think the ram is about twice as much as it should be. As an earlier poster stated you should stick to around 8. We are talking a hundred dollar difference here. Also amd has a six core processor out right now for about a quarter of the price of the i7 extreme six core processor. It will probably cost you the same as what you are paying now for a four core i7. One down side is that the amds do not have hyper threading but this is just something to keep in mind.
