The "H" mother boards were designed to use the "on chip" graphics of the i5 2500...since you have picked a 6950 video card ( which is more of a monster masher than a "light gaming" card!) I would go with a P67 board and the 2500"K" CPU to get more out of the rig. The mother board you picked supports up to 1333 ram...not the higher..better 1600. The Antec case is a good one but be careful in fitting the video card..it JUST fits! Unless you are going to overclock your system to a very high speed, any decent aftermarket CPU cooler will work just fine. I highly recommend Noctua, but there are many, many, quailty coolers out there. Find a couple you like, and the do a bit of research to find the best one. Just make sure they are compatable with your CPU. BTW please ignore that pile of junk the last poster suggested. I have a feeling that person has never built a computer. Douche and the others go up to the apartment and myself, Unknown, a male friend and a female friend head off to get a quick snack... at this point it's about 3am... on the way back, we're walking and talking and i sense an unease from Unknown... i quickly sidle up to her and say "this is probably your only chance to get away from a bunch of people you don't know"... she says "i kinda want to leave, but don't know how to say it"... i say "you don't need to say it... just say goodbye to us now and walk home... i'll take care of the rest"... she stops in her tracks, says "sorry everybody, i have to go home, nice meeting you all" and walks off... the one male friend that was with us asks me what i said to her and i told him the truth, this friend is actually a good guy... he suggests that when Douche finds out what i did, he'll be pissed at me... i tell my friend that Douche isn't going to find out because nobody's gonna tell him what i said to Unknown and when Douche inquires about the situation i'll do all the talking... needless to say, when we got up to the apartment, Douche was annoyed that we let Unknown leave and suggests that we should've convinced her to come up... later when talking with my friend, he said that Unknown might've felt pressured to leave the group from what i said to her... i did it because i didn't want her to have to endure Douche's sexual desire, but now i'm thinking that maybe she took what i said as "go away, we don't like you"... that and i totally got in somebody else's business and tried to steer the course of events away from what i thought could eventually turn into a negative experience for Unknown... did i do the right thing?..

Question about ssh and rsync?

I want to rsync some files from my mailserver to a remotehost for back up. I want to allow rsync to use ssh to securely transfer the files. I have generated a rsa key pair(on the localhost) and exported the public key to the remotehost. When I issue the rsync command at the command line (on the localhost) it works fine. However, if I put the commands in the crontab (directly) or have crontab call a bash script... it doesn't work. I have tested the use of crontab (both ways) without trying to transfer to a remotehost and they work fine. The permissions look ok. Why won't this work?

Why don't we privatize the police department in America?

Since most crime is committed by poor people against poor people (statistics), why should the middle and upper class have to foot the bill, right? Shouldn't we privatize it, then poor people can pay for their own policing? If they don't want their rights violated by another citizen, then they can pay for it by working for a corporation and buying insurance, instead of being dependent on the state and taking welfare. It will be an incentive for poor people to work, or they won't be protected. Wouldn't this be ingenious? This creates competition and not a centralized police department, that is lazy and treats most law-abiding citizens, who pay their salaries, like criminals and usually get away with it. At least when it is privatized, the police will know their place and will appreciate serving their patrons.

Which do you prefer? I've only had Patron Silver and it was better than bottom shelf tequilas but not worth 2 1/2 times the price in my opinion. I read where Austin is one of the best places to live. Add to that I am a musician and that my family loves to go biking, and it seems like Austin is a no-brainer with the music scene and bike paths galore. Rare serious question: Did i do the right thing?

so last night i was at the bar with a bunch of friends and regular bar patrons... there's one guy who we all associate with who's basically a sexist who likes to think of himself as a womanizer, from here on out i'll refer to him as Douche... i've talked with a handful of women who all have a negative opinion of him... being that i'm male, he's not like that towards me, but i'm aware of this side of his personality... so the bar closes and a bunch of us go a few blocks to finish the night off at a guy's apartment who's friends with Douche... the entire walk he's blatantly flirting with this woman (that i'll call Unknown) who nobody knows and doing all he can to convince her to come over to his friends apartment... at one point she mentions that she doesn't know anybody, so i introduce myself and start asking the basic questions one would in attempt to get to know another... when we all get to the apartment building she says she needs to get food first and a couple people agree... Douche and the others go up to the apartment and myself, Unknown, a male friend and a female friend head off to get a quick snack... at this point it's about 3am... on the way back, we're walking and talking and i sense an unease from Unknown... i quickly sidle up to her and say "this is probably your only chance to get away from a bunch of people you don't know"... she says "i kinda want to leave, but don't know how to say it"... i say "you don't need to say it... just say goodbye to us now and walk home... i'll take care of the rest"... she stops in her tracks, says "sorry everybody, i have to go home, nice meeting you all" and walks off... the one male friend that was with us asks me what i said to her and i told him the truth, this friend is actually a good guy... he suggests that when Douche finds out what i did, he'll be pissed at me... i tell my friend that Douche isn't going to find out because nobody's gonna tell him what i said to Unknown and when Douche inquires about the situation i'll do all the talking... needless to say, when we got up to the apartment, Douche was annoyed that we let Unknown leave and suggests that we should've convinced her to come up... later when talking with my friend, he said that Unknown might've felt pressured to leave the group from what i said to her... i did it because i didn't want her to have to endure Douche's sexual desire, but now i'm thinking that maybe she took what i said as "go away, we don't like you"... that and i totally got in somebody else's business and tried to steer the course of events away from what i thought could eventually turn into a negative experience for Unknown... did i do the right thing?..

Well it hasn't cleared up any he said and he even told me hes gotten more sores. Our manager has been informed about it from several guards and the infected guard but he says " the bacteria is everywhere, so its not like youre at anymore risk than usual" I feel otherwise & so do some other guards. Backpacking vs Luxury?

Hey! Like through europe, i mean for the price of a holiday in luxury places you could backpack through all of Europe, yet wouldn't it be uncomfortable? the only way you can truly have too much RAM is if you have so much that seek times are slowed down as a result. if the OS won't support it (most 32bit OSs only support 4GB for example) then it simply won't use the rest. If you have a 64bit OS then I would go with 6GB or 8GB (I'm fuzzy on the DDR3 rules but I know my ASUS rampage MB requires RAM in sets of 3 or else it runs at DDR2 speed and not DDR3... however I see a lot of MBs that use DDR3 with only 4 RAM sockets which makes it hard to add RAM in sets of 3). for gaming 4GB will usually do just fine and higher end games may make use of more RAM but if you are just playing something like WoW then 4GB is overkill.

R&S: Shouldn't we privatize the police department?

Since most crime is committed by poor people against poor people (statistics), why should the middle and upper class have to foot the bill, right? Shouldn't we privatize it, then poor people can pay for their own policing? If they don't want their rights violated by another citizen, then they can pay for it by working for a corporation and buying insurance, instead of being dependent on the state and taking welfare. It will be an incentive for poor people to work, or they won't be protected. Wouldn't this be ingenious? This creates competition and not a centralized police department, that is lazy and treats most law-abiding citizens, who pay their salaries, like criminals and usually get away with it. At least when it is privatized, the police will know their place and will appreciate serving their patrons.

Antec says 273w on the PSU calculator, with 3 fans, and 3 USB devices. I have this PSU also. It runs a core 2 quad, 8gb of RAM, 3 drives and video. No problems. Now, you board shows a 8 pin 12v connector in a picture at Newegg. This power supply does not have a 8 pin plug for it. A adapter can be used if this is way you want to go. Not standard practice. Mine did come with one. The cables are a little short. I had to use a 4 pin extension for the board. Bottom case mount of the PSU is why. Athena Power has the cords and connectors you need. A few dollars. Antec & Corsair build high quality power supplies also if you change your mind. All else looks good. Hope it helps.

Hi everybody. I'm having in-law trouble. I found out not to long ago that my husband's father hates my guts. It came as a shocker, because I honestly don't know what I did wrong. I thought everything was peachy to tell ya the truth. Ever since I found out, I have been publically bashed on facebook by his family. Before all this I put up with their little snide comments because I just thought that, that is who they are, and they don't mean anything by it. Come to find out, my farther in law has been talking to all of my husband's ex's and wanting my husband to get back with one of them. I don't know if I can keep taking it. My husband went one month without talking to his farther, but now they are close again. I can't help but feeling this is betrayal. When my husband asked him why he was doing all this, he didn't even give him an answer, so I STILL don't know what I did wrong. If I bring up what his family did to me, it ends up us yelling at each other. My husband recently said he wants his family at the birth of our child, and that is where my problem is. Why should they be able to come in at the end and be treated with respect and dignity when they have caused so much pain my entire pregnancy? The only way my husband would know what this feels like would be if my family treated him the way his family has treated me, but that would never happen. The biggest thing for rendering is the CPU. I'd personnaly go for an Intel i5 or i7 if you have the money. Although any quad-core processor is really decent at rendering and editing videos.
